Today, at approximately 1 pm, there was a shooting. A shooting at an Army base in Texas. The Army base was Fort Hood. Twelve people were kill and as of right now Thirty-one are injured. Fort Hood has a small town located inside of it and in a way it is like its own community. There are schools on base, which are as of now in lock down, as well as other things and the whole base is on lock down. The soldiers who were killed were all in the deployment area. They were getting all of their last check ups done and saying goodbye to their family members. While those families were ready to say goodbye to the soldiers they were not ready to say goodbye to them permanently. This is a tragic event and even more it is horrendous and even sickening that this even occurred! My heart goes out to those families who lost a loved one and my heart goes out to all of the injured soldiers and their families as well. May they find peace and feel safe knowing that the accomplices to the shooting have been arrested and can no longer hurt anyone.
